Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-08-03 Effective: 2026-08-03

1. Who we are

Krinofin ("Krinofin", "the Service", "we", "us") is operated by:

Theocharis Kartsolis (registered as ΚΑΡΤΣΩΛΗΣ ΘΕΟΧΑΡΗΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΣ), sole proprietor, trading as EcoQ
Trapezountos 17, Edessa 58200, Greece
VAT identification number: EL105955066
Contact: legal@krinofin.com

By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

Krinofin is a stock screening tool. It applies a fixed, published set of mechanical criteria to publicly available data — principally filings made to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) via its EDGAR system, together with market data obtained from third-party providers — and presents the results as scores and categories across the constituents of the S&P 500 index.

The Service performs three separate assessments:

Krinofin is a data extraction and presentation tool. Its purpose is to make visible what public filings state, and to be explicit about where they do not state enough.

3. What the Service is NOT

This section is the most important in these Terms. Read it in full.

3.1 Not investment advice. Krinofin provides information of a general nature only. Nothing on the Service constitutes investment advice, a personal recommendation within the meaning of Directive 2014/65/EU (MiFID II), a solicitation or offer to buy or sell any financial instrument, or investment research as defined under applicable law.

3.2 Not personalised. The Service does not know and does not take into account your investment objectives, financial situation, risk tolerance, tax position, or any other personal circumstance. Every subscriber at a given subscription level sees identical output. No output is tailored to any individual.

3.3 Not regulated. The operator of the Service is not an authorised investment firm, is not licensed by the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (Επιτροπή Κεφαλαιαγοράς) or by any other competent authority, and does not provide any regulated investment service.

3.4 Not validated. The methodology applied by the Service has not been subjected to historical backtesting. No representation or warranty is made, expressly or by implication, that the criteria applied have predictive value, that scores correlate with future returns, or that any outcome will follow from acting on the output. A high score is a statement about criteria met, not a forecast.

3.5 Not a substitute for professional advice. You should obtain advice from an appropriately licensed professional before making any investment decision. Any decision you take remains entirely your own.

4. Data sources, accuracy, and their limits

4.1 Third-party origin. Data presented by the Service originates from third parties, including the SEC EDGAR system and commercial market data providers. We do not create this data and cannot guarantee its accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or continued availability.

4.2 Known limitations, disclosed. The Service is designed to surface its own limits rather than conceal them. In particular:

4.3 You must read the flags. Where a record is flagged as incomplete or as having non-applicable criteria, the displayed score is not a reliable indication of anything. Interpreting a flagged score as though it were unflagged is a misuse of the Service.

4.4 No guarantee of continuity. Third-party data sources may change, impose restrictions, or cease to be available without notice. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue any part of the Service as a result.

5. Subscriptions, payment, and billing

5.1 Merchant of record. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, which acts as the merchant of record and authorised reseller of the Service. Your purchase contract for payment purposes is with Paddle. Paddle's terms and privacy notice apply to that transaction in addition to these Terms.

5.2 Subscription levels. The Service is offered at a free level and at one or more paid levels. What is included at each level is described on the pricing page and may change on reasonable notice.

5.3 Recurring billing. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the stated interval until cancelled. You authorise Paddle to charge your chosen payment method for each renewal.

5.4 Price changes. We may change subscription prices. Existing subscribers will be given notice before any change takes effect for their subscription and may cancel before it applies.

5.5 Taxes. VAT and other applicable taxes are handled by Paddle as merchant of record. Business customers may supply a valid VAT identification number at checkout where reverse charge applies.

5.6 Cancellation and refunds. Governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Accounts

6.1 Registration. Access to the Service requires an account. You must provide accurate information and keep it current.

6.2 Your responsibility. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at legal@krinofin.com of any unauthorised use.

6.3 One account per person or entity. Accounts may not be shared, transferred, or resold.

6.4 Age. The Service is not directed at, and may not be used by, persons under 18 years of age.

7. Acceptable use

You may not:

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of this section.

8. Intellectual property

8.1 Ours. The Service, including its software, scoring methodology, presentation, and branding, is owned by the operator and protected by applicable intellectual property law. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service for your own internal purposes for the duration of your subscription.

8.2 Underlying data. The Service processes publicly available filings and licensed third-party market data. No proprietary right is claimed in the underlying public filings themselves.

8.3 Third-party marks. References to Warren Buffett, Brian Feroldi, or any named index, company, or publication are descriptive references to published methodology or to entities covered by the Service. They do not imply endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship. The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC or any index provider.

9. Liability

9.1 No warranty. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

9.2 Investment losses. We are not liable for any investment decision you make or for any loss arising from it. You use the output of the Service entirely at your own risk.

9.3 Cap. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9.4 Mandatory rights preserved. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing affects your mandatory rights as a consumer under Greek or EU law.

10. Suspension and termination

10.1 By you. You may cancel your subscription at any time in accordance with the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

10.2 By us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision becomes commercially or technically impracticable. Where we terminate without cause, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid subscription period.

10.3 Effect. On termination your right to access the Service ceases. Sections 3, 4, 8, 9, and 12 survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or prominently on the Service at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept, you may cancel.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Greek law. The courts of Edessa have jurisdiction.

Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
